Stanley Cup Playoffs 2011: Conference Finals Predictions

Eastern Conference:
(3) Boston Bruins vs. (5) Tampa Bay Lightning: Tampa Bay in 6

Additional note(s): In a nutshell, this series is going to be a battle between Tim Thomas' outstanding goaltending and Tampa Bay's offense (St.Louis, Stamkos, Bergenheim, and Lecavalier), with the offense eventually winning out.

Western Conference:
(1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (2) San Jose Sharks: San Jose in 7

Additional note(s): Go Sharks!

  1. These are both tough series for me to call. Originally I was thinking the Bruins might win in 7, but they didn't look very good last night, so I may be inclined to agree with you in picking the Bolts. I'm also thinking the Canucks may win a game 7, especially given the Sharks' playoff history to date, but that series really could go either way. They are so evenly matched at this point.

  2. Larry- The Bolts weren't looking too good last night :( Gotta admire Dwayne Roloson though. He's an old fart, like me.

  3. I miss seeing the "old farts" in the NHL who were actually older than me. Chelios was the last of 'em....

  4. It was exciting to be in Vancouver over the weekend and catch the Canucks game in a bar with lots of loud fans :)
